TECHNOLOGY AGANIST CORONA VIRUS
Covid-19 and Technology:
In recent days we have seen
that the number of patients suffering from covid 19 are increasing day by day. Where
the doctors, police and sanitary staff are not getting any rest. We all know
that the doctors are helping us to fight covid but what we don’t know is that
technology is also helping us to fight back. In this blog I am going to tell
how technology is helping us to fight back.
Here doctors are also using pep kits, ventilators ,monitors, ultrasound machines, etc are used by health care services in daily use where they have to cooperate with machines as there is so many advancements in medical field like there are some of the machines which can operate a surgery.
List of the technology:-
- Making digital payments
- Drones
- Tele-health
- CCTV
- Remote controlled trolley
- Ultravoilet c light based sanitisation box
- Contactless sanitisers
- 3D-Printers
1.Making digital:
Before covid the online payments
are not that much favourable in India. Because some of the big shops or businesspersons
have used it. But the scenario has changed after covid, there
are small vendors who are now using online payment’s now a days. Because these days people are worried about direct exchange of
money. Due to this , many platforms like goggle-pay, phone-pay, BHIM or UPI ,net
banking are now creating space .
2.Drones:
In some of the countries people us drones to distribute food and medical supply .There
is an app that is used to do this .If we select and complete our booking our
order will be delivered with an sanitised drone and they will land in the
backyard or near the road u will get notified before it lands there you can go
and collect your supplies like medicine ,food, supplements. In India police staff are using drones to get an overall view of the city, to see that lockdown is maintained properly. Which is another
help of technology in fighting the covid 19.
Due to covid the people are
scared to visit hospitals so there came
many apps like mydoc, etc to help people from their problem’s and gone to
virtual treatment for small problems. see how the technology is helping in this
way.
4.CCTV:
When a family of three
in Kerala’s Pathanamthitta district tested positive for Covid-19 after
returning from Italy, local authorities realised the family had visited several
places and met many people for a week before they were quarantined. Reviewing
CCTV footage from the areas they had been to be was one of the methods the local
administration used to track down 900 people the family could have potentially
infected. South Korea and Singapore, too, have used CCTVs extensively in
contact-tracing.
5.Remote Controlled Trolleys:
Indian Army’s Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers
(EME) have created a remote-controlled trolley. This is being used by
healthcare workers to deliver essential items to healthcare staff. In order to
make it more helpful, the trolley comes equipped with a washbasin and
dustbin.
6.Ultraviolet C Light-based sanitisation box:
The most important thing to do during
the ongoing pandemic is to sanitise our hands. But what is the point when our
belongings like mobile phone, wallet and keys are infected? Defence Institute
of Physiology & Allied Sciences (DIPAS), Institute of Nuclear Medicine
& Allied Sciences (INMAS) and DRDO laboratories in Delhi have developed an
Ultraviolet C Light-based sanitisation box. This can be used to sanitise a lot
of things including wallets and keys. The organizations have also developed a
handheld UV-C device with a wavelength of 254 nanometres.
7.Contactless Sanitisers:
There are many small people who are not that much educated , who are becoming engineering’s by inventing contactless sanitisers by Indians .Which means taking some of the items which are not useful and making them into a useful one.The companies are also coming with these ideas to help the societies.
8.3D-Printers:
Now a day’s 3D-printers are very handful to produce complex shapes. In India there is a demand for ventilators. With the global demand for ventilators skyrocketing, Avgas Healthcare, an innovative Indian startup building cost-effective portable ventilators, is working to manufacture 20,000 ventilators.
Isinnova, an Italian based startup, designed a 3D-printed valve that turns snorkeling masks into ventilators and shared their 3D-printing designs online for free.
Companies ethical practises:
India’s top Venture Capitalists, which include Sequoia
Capital, Accel, Matrix Partners, Kalaari Capital and others, along with
prominent angel investors are setting up an INR 100 cr fund to
support start-ups developing products and services aimed at helping contain the
virus. This is a welcoming sign for the start-up community.
See these
are some of the technologies which are
helping us to fight against covid-19.Some companies are coming a head with new
innovative ideas to help us to fight against covid 19, which is indirectly helping
them to increase their stake and stock holders with a good number of consumers.
Which comes into their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibilities) practice means
helping the people and the government .In future they can have a good support
from the government for their ethical considerations
and helping the government along with their employees and customers.
The
organises are showing their social , occupational ,organizational ethics .They
are taking decisions related to the situation and fulfilling the people deeds .These
are some ethical duties that a the companies are doing and it is their duty
because social goals are prior in the list .The companies or organisations are indirectly promoting their companies and
increasing their reputations in the society.
Excellent work of technology on corona virus is nicely explained in this vbt blog.
ReplyDeleteI would feel happy if some more information may available in the blog.
Still it is a good work on publishing information about technology..
Thanks for the comment .Can you please tell me what more information should be added to this. It would be more helpful if you mention it
DeleteI wanna see how the technology which is mentioned in the blog working in rural areas as pics
DeleteMam,
DeleteI have mentioned it in the blog that the many rural police officers are using drones to see if the lockdown is strictly maintained. If drones are not ,so much time will be needed to get an overall view of the city/village.Though i didn't upload images of those but i mentioned the matter.
Ok thank you mr.bhanu
